Challenge: Elect local candidates to the Burbank City Council.
With a field of six candidates, Working Californians needed a compelling independent expenditure campaign to support their two endorsees for the Burbank City Council. Their election would ensure much needed financial reform for the city as well as maintaining essential, high-quality city services.
BNA partnered with Working Californians to determine voter targets and craft a winning message. Three, unique direct mail pieces were created to drive home the essential messages of the campaign. Along with an oversized postcard, variable data and a personalized letter were created to compel voters for support.
Both candidates were elected to the Burbank City Council. With just over a 22 percent voter ballot return, the endorsed candidates succeeded their competitors by a significant margin.
